To extend the analogy:

I took a bite from one of their apples a few months ago and got deathly ill.

I thought that maybe it was just a coincidence and I had the flu. So on Monday I took a bite from another one of their apples.

It almost killed me.

My fault, my stupidity, but no more fruit from them. -ob
