I held most of my stuff as well thru the downturn...even bought more on all these supposed bottoms...uh, duh.....but at this point, I wont sell sunw for $18, jdsu low 20's and etc....I held for this long, I will continue and when I feel the time is right I will add to my quality issues I feel will survive and prosper in the long term

best,

Rose -- oh, no ... I'm sorry. At least you got out @ 22, though.

Me? Follow anythign down? LOL. In a word, yes.

This is a guess without actually going back to count up .... about a year ago, I had positions in 25-30 stocks. Most tech (all the big ones -- SUNW, MSFT, CSCO, INTC, WCOM, etc) with a few DJIA. Plus four mutual funds.

Today, I am in three stocks -- GE -- and it ain't a very big position at all. QQQ -- again, rather small position. And 200 sh of some 'old' DIS.

I hold puts on SEBL.

And the rest is cash.

I sold most of those 'way late ... many I was able to cop profit, but nothing like, of course, what I could have made (kept <g>) had I had the sense to sell last year this time.

I suppose I plan to reinvest 50% again ... when the market turns. Up, like. <g> I don't mind missing the bottom at all ... so I'm sure I will.

HAve a good weekend, Rosie et al ...
