We dont have as much attention as we deserve for a very very logical reason. The technical data on the silk is unreleased, classified, noone can touch it. So in that article we see them talking about failed attempts at silkworm infused with spider dna, they are not referencing us.
Dr kaplan at tufts university is jealous and desperately wants to know how dr fraser achieved this. Read the technology review article and the wired article on kblb, dr kaplan comments on kblb in both articles, and you can tell he desperately wants to see the peer review when it comes out. My guess is the huge piece here is the location of the genetic insertion, that is what the other firms want.
