The answers to your questions are...

What recourse does CCME have here against this? Can they claim a crime has been committed and press charges? Can Block be arrested for anything in China?

The company has civil and criminal remedies. They can sue him in civil court and file charges in the U.S. (and in China if there have been violations of Chinese law). However, the notion of pressing charges is commonly misunderstood. Only a prosecutorial body (i.e., a local, state or federal prosecutor has the right to initiate criminal proceedings against a person or entity). My opinion is that his conduct rises to violations of federal criminal statutes in the United States. I'm not familiar with Chinese law but I imagine that a zealous Chinese prosecutor could easily find a law under which to argue a violation has occurred.

Texbanker:

I'll bet a tall tree CCME sues CB, MW and cronies in every way possible. Some of the underlying theory for investigation leading to suit is presented here: http://seekingalpha.com/instablog/646774-bullmarket/143436-investigation-of-muddy-waters-research-and-carson-block-warranted-by-sec-and-ccme and http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=60651179.
