So far, all I've gotten from the other board is that Cooper is leaving and the company will have test results and a prototype out the door by the end of the month. Is that true?

Some tele-conference! As they said in merrye old England, the King is dead, long live the King! Except we have the happy combination of Tom remaining on the board and on tap as needed. Of course it is regrettable that he had to leave for undisclosed, pressing personal reasons, BUT the full support that he has given Brad Ketch, our new CEO and President of NVC, plus his unswerving belief in the strength and future of the company is very uplifting and gives me, for one, sufficient confidence in Brad that he will be able to fill Tom's role in a most capable fashion. No timeline or goals of he company have been affected, with the numbers and prototype announcement still anticipated before the end of the year. I was pleased to hear that BER is really of little import to them as regards the requirement of it's announcement. As one of the mgmt participants said, what difference does it make, to paraphrase him, as long as it is 10 to the -12th or less? Good enough for me! It did not sound as though the prototype announcement would occur in the earlier part of December, as we had been conjecturing as a possibility.
That it still will be announced by or before the end of December, as they had and continue to promise, is truly important and significant, imo. It was also encouraging to hear that companies are lined up to do the FPGA testing early next year, and what was really a tickler was what one of them opined - that if our tech exceeded current telco capabilities by 1000 feet, it would be a significant step forward ( a paraphrase). Brad is of the strong belief, as I understood him to say, that the product we have would be a strongly attractive offering
due to it being inexpensive and save the telcos a lot of money. Well, as I said, I'm sad to see that Tom Cooper had to relinquish his position, but he sounded extremely confident in his successor who, we should remember, was brought into the company by Tom C. himself. Tom said that he is not going to work for any other company, that he has, in essence, fealty to NVC, and would remain active on its board and available to mgmt as needed. Under the (undisclosed personal)circumstances, I'd imagine he is giving as much as he can. It's always a little
uncertain when the CEO steps down, no matter the reason, imo. Given the circumstances and personnel
we continue to have, and the fact the the timelines remain unchanged plus the continuing mgmt strength, I suspect we're likely quite a bit better off than most other companies might be under the same situation.
JMHO. Happy Holidays tio all!!
