MSGI that's fair enough, caution is always warranted because broader market trends to have bigger impacts down here. But that being said, when looking at specific stocks, you also have to see some great opportunities that arise in a bad market. I kick myself every day now for not buying TRLG last July when it was @ $0.80 because I didn't want to move funds from any other holdings while they were at their lows…or move from others that hadn’t reached my long term targets yet. I was looking into it very closely then....my wife even saw Justin Timberlake wearing them on the "E" Network....what a good sign for an $0.80 stock! But I didn't want to move funds….and I didn’t. Maybe some cash would have solved that problem? Lol!
I was mostly invested most of last year and was actually more in cash after the election than I was at any other point of the year...and while my portfolio chart shows a big long slump from May through September....I just held through it because I still liked everything I owned….and was happy to end the year with a 480% gain. That's the best year I've ever had....and hope to have more like that in the future. That being said, I am a pretty small investor, but it was nice to grow that much bigger last year.
As for long-term holdings, I've held BIPH from $0.40 in 11/03....and look forward to realizing some significant long-term gains from BIPH over the years.....and regardless of stock price....the story has only gotten better. I don't deny that it does warrant very diligent following until a deal is announced by a partner, but luckily the CEO has worked hard to communicate what he can to investors to keep us informed as possible. I have a pretty strong belief that he will eventually prove to all the doubters that his technical staff, his patents, his negotiating skills, and his PR efforts were all worth while.
