Although I don't have an iPad 2 in my paws at this time I will within about two weeks or so.

I took some preparatory steps today by buying a shoulder bag for it:

I like the hardware and software combination as described very much and I expect iOS to undergo additional evolution over the course of the time I own the iPad 2.

Many things considered, it's my opinion the iPad 2 doesn't have any serious competitors.
