brightness-5 to 10% seems high in normal bicyle riding. More like 2% probably.
Unless one is riding switchback all the time.
Not that it matters a whole lot. Especially since the rear tire wears much quicker than the front despite travelling less distance... due to the abrasion inflicted upon the rear tire in contact with the tarmac caused by accelerative force applied with each pedal stroke.
