Because of the three hour time difference between the U.S. east and west coasts, it is almost pointless to constantly watch the boards for a JV announcement during market hours. When trading starts at 9:30, Les hasn't yet arrived at the office and would not have time to prepare the news release before the opening. Assuming that the release won't take place during trading hours so as to give everyone an even break, then one can safely await until the market closes to catch up on the Medinah boards while awaiting the news.
Of course I knew this, but, as of yet, have not been able to put this time saving tip into operation.

Do you honestly think LP doesn't already have the press releases ready to go? Seriously, you need to rethink that one. Why would you think that they would hold off on a press release to make it 'fair' for everyone? The company has stated they will release the news immediately upon receiving the first tranche. The assumption that the news will be held until after market hours is a wild prediction that isn't based on any fact. Sorry, don't mean to sound rude as that isn't my intent but I think to make such predictions isn't helpful. The truth is we don't know when it will be released. It could happen at any time, before market opens, during market or after market. It all depends on when the money hits the account.
