Definitely NOT Alex B... he is known to those attending.

SHE was an Alexandra ... and, according to reports, quite sharp in many more ways than one ;)

I'll do my best to provide info from Sunday's Manchester Union Leader as I've attempted to GOOGLE, unsuccessfully.

From Sunday's Manchester Union Leader ...

Brief story on page B5 under title: Deal Reached for Paper Mill Purchase; written by Sara Young Know - Sunday News Correspondent

paragraph #4 reads:

Alexandra Ritchie, project manager of Laidlaw Berlin Biopower LLC, said Gorham Paper is in the exploratory mode and is doing due diligence as it looks to buy the mill. The company is talking with state officials to see how the state could help. "I know it's important for the state that the 240 workers come back."

Laidlaw has affiliations with Gorham Paper investors. Laidlaw owns the former pulp mill site in Berlin and is working toward retrofitting a boiler to burn wood and produce electricity.

Later in same article:

Senator Jeanne Shaheen stated in a press release, "The Gorham Paper Mill is a critical source of good jobs in a region that has been hard hit. Congratulations to Gorham Paper, LLC and the mill workers for this important positive step forward. I look forward to the day when the mill reopens and people can get back to work."

(end of quote)

While this press release isn't terribly informative, I'm just a bit curious as to why a project manager for Laidlaw BBP was interviewed to discuss Gorham Paper Mill LLC's acquisition of these mill assets.

... to be continued

Anyone else feel the PUC's decision's coming this Friday at 4pm????
