GTXO - Gartner: Smartphones spur mobile market to reach 1.6 billion units
Global smartphone sales soared by 72% in 2010 as Research in Motion and Apple supplanted Sony Ericsson and Motorola Mobility for the fourth and fifth spots among the top five cell phone companies, according to Gartner, which pegged total handset sales at 1.6 billion units.
