sama-- over the years I've tried about every wireless company in the area. There are many differences in phones, services offered, pricing, & etc. The one thing they have in common is service SUX! Not one can eliminate static on 1 end or the other or stop dropped calls. Its like getting a monthly bill for stress & frustration provided.

sama, The purpose of the NOK test was to hand off from a WCDMA to a 2G network, this addresses a concern of the operators. They want to be sure a user still has service if he enters an area where WCDMA is not available. Nothing like you posted

Also Please post a link that I can read that says WCDMA does not work and can not hand off. I believe that was a very old problem which some people seem to think was terminal to the technology and can't be fixed. Isn't it strange that with each new week you read about a new pilot system or a proposed new launch date for Commercial WCDMA systems and it doesn't work? Do you think T.I. and all the other chip producers are making products for something that does not work?
