They aren't allowed to do any work on the mill other than cosmetic stuff like painting until the permit is granted. Keep the faith. They are certainly doing everything they can to be ready to go once they get permitted.

It's not as far off as you might think. They've done some preventive maintenance on the building roofs and siding, painting a few bare spots, basically things that will keep the buildings from deteriorating. The equipment itself doesn't look to be in too bad of shape.

They have power to the mill and a propane tank for heat - but it's just not cost effective to turn things on until they get cash flow. There are a few electrical upgrades needed; for example, they will need a few transformers and some of the lighting will need work. The mill has multiple buildings and the whole system is rather large, but to put things in perspective - I liken it to an old car you parked in the garage ten years ago and just left. You might have to change the battery, fluids, seals and give it a good cleaning - but when you're done you have the same car you parked ten years ago. On the plus side the environment in Silverton tends to preserve equipment - the air is dry and there's not much of a rust problem. Get a good Mill Wright in there and some motivated employees and things should come to life
