My second account is with Brown & Co and I like them, too. As you say, $10 for orders. I don't place market orders, so I consider all the ads for cheap market orders dismissable. It's the limit order prices that "count" that is what we really use.
Waterhouse and Brown have been reasonably priced and good to deal with. I've just started a Scottrade account for the streamer and other tools that work with the Mac and will explore any brokerage that offers trading and TA tools that work on the Mac. Neither Waterhouse nor Brown & Co do!!
