I agree with most of your sentiment, but again, one #1... every transaction is a buy and a sell. I've never seen a bid order painted green on L2, just as I've never seen an Ask order painted red. Sometimes, during extremely high volume periods, MMs cannot keep the B/A up to date with what they are printing, so it may seem like they are playing games... when in reality, it's just a slow computer representation of the L3 market platform. Don't get me wrong, MMs play games hard... especially when they need to fill a gap or their positions... but I've never seen bid transactions painted green.
