Agree on WFR - it is a stock I have played on the long side a number of times in the past, but for now I would not touch it. It is a prime candidate for bankruptcy if the economy does not strengthen here, and I do not expect that to happen to any appreciable degree. Inventories, especially of unfinished chips, are again rising at chip makers due to the weaker than expected back to school season and I suspect that the Christmas selling season will exacerbate that situation. Also, the more recent trend toward using a single chip to do the functions previously done with many chips (SOC, for example) will slow the growth of the total number of chips being made and there is still some trend to chips made from materials other than silicone.
