You seem to know the biodiesel business pretty well, so I would like your opinion on why the biodiesel companies are sitting on their butts and not finding a cheaper way to produce biodiesel. I have read that switchgrass is a weed that grows wild over many states and can be used to make biodiesel. Also, so called experts claim biodiesel can be made from hundreds of different sources including grease, trash, hospital waste and hundreds of other sources that are of no real use to anyone. It is apparent with the ever growing deficit, and Republicans wanting to cut almost every federal program, there's no guarantee that the fuel subsidy will be renewed next year. So is the biodiesel industry doomed to failure because they lack the innovation to produce biodiesel cheaper than oil?
