That is correct. Plain, old-fashioned research.
I've ridden several stocks from pennies to dollars over the years. I'm not a day trader or momentum player. I just find stocks that I think may explode to the upside. I'm not always right, but when I am, look out.
It's normal that when a stock starts to take off, you get day traders, momentum players, self-appointed gurus, technical traders, newbies, etc on board. That's how it works. I never let that stuff bother me or influence me.
However, I will say that I do have a pet peeve about self-appointed gurus coming onto a board and trying to give advice. They usually always say they bought at the bottom, sold at the top, predicted this and that, etc. If they were that successful, why would they spend every waking hour on an anonymous message board spouting their 'brilliant' advice? Why not spend their time on their successful trading career instead of trying to teach a bunch of anonymous people?
Anyway, to each his own. I'm here to make money. All imo. GLTA.
