#24844 RE: moxy7 #24841

Contrary to popular belief, the weather only had a FEW DAYS delay, at most. All the bad weather that went through 2 weeks ago melted after a few days on the ground.

What I have a big beef with, and NOT aimed at you moxy7, is this misconeption about LA has been a winter wonderland for the past few weeks. Here's a little meteorology lesson for all of you that feel that LA is artic. It only snows in the south maybe a couple of times during the winter. There is little accumulatoin. It stays on the ground for only a few days. After that, the temps rise up and melt what is on the ground VERY rapidly.

Since we all have to do our own DD, I'll leave it to you to find out for yourselves. Please, people, stop assuming that just because the news says we've got some "blizzard of the century" hitting the US and the well. You're weather is much different than it is in the south.

(shakes head at people who are this naive)
