I'm not a doctor but my interpretation of the release is based on previous PRs. In October of 2010's intial release announcing the 300 patient trial they stated "Initial results obtained last spring at UTHSC-Houston show the technology identifies GBS in two to six hours."
I believe this is what the abstract was based on and that the initial results from spring is what formed the foundation for the 300 person trial which is still ongoing.
