How Ironic, you just described my day too. Go figure. The only difference is that instead of a giant American Elm populated by brown squirrels with dancing tails, I view the ocean with talking, dancing Dolphins, and Finback whales coming to shore asking for investing advice...Am I the only weird one in the room?

.....with a box on my left that is a quadcore 3.4 which is a silent collector machine, by which I mean that it sucks data down into an artificial intelligence high speed database environment that collects the tickker feed data off of 500 stocks in real time and makes automated trade decisions so I can face the other boxes' screens without having to swivel around in my chair to even look at what it is doing.

Then, in front of me is a dual core dual screen Xeon 2.4 that is connected to a Java data feed app that is a wall of level 2's, news tickers, and charts, splayed over the two large screens. I trade on a discount broker on this machine.

To my immediate 2-0'clock is a single screen dual core Xeon 3.06 with a TD Ameritrade charting app going on it which runs a proprietary app that screens in real time a list of 500 stocks looking for tradable volume events.

Then, to my right is a dual screen dual core 3.2 with a second open set of about 24 windows of charts, time & sales, and another screening app that does a second instance of the screen that is running on my Xeon 3.06.

My point is that the last thing I have time to do during the day is check email. Since I've been an active trader for years, the last thing I need is the distraction of email that would draw my eye and my attention away from the activities on the machines I trade on and that I have assigned to various proprietary trading related tasks......
