Bought DSCI at $10 and it's been doing very well. Market cap is tiny. Undervalued imo based on the potential. Just had good phase 2 results for their diabetic foot ulcers. phase 3 trials are estimated to cost about $15 million. with just a little dilution, they could fund them themselves and not have to give a way a piece of the pie to a partner. they are already generating revenues of around $40 million that is growing.

DSCI looks a little interesting to me as well and I at least have it on my watch list. I do like their existing revenue base, small market cap, and the recent positive Phase 2 results for the diabetic foot ulcer drug (though I can't say I necessarily trust the Phase 3 results to be positive given all the other prior failures in this space). That said, I could see this one running up further from the current level prior to Phase 3 results being released. And again, they do have the nice existing wound care business already generating revenues to cushion any downside failure on the diabetic foot ulcer drug. I do think they'll likely do an offering though given the sharp run-up and their cash position so I'm at least waiting to see if that takes place before I consider a position. (Also waiting to see what happens to the other stocks on my watchlist I am considering.)

DSCI:

Used to follow this a 4-5 years ago. Manuka Honey has some very interesting therapeutic properties (if you can get the REAL manuka honey and DSCI does get the good stuff) and they have a product line of bandages that appear to work.

As memory serves, this co. languished for years around $1.50/share and my review of their share price (on Yahoo) doesn't reflect that. Low and behold, they issued a reverse split, 1 for 8 on 2/1/10. split adjusted, their $12/share price is still below what I was watching 5 years ago.

There are some things that will always be a hard sell in our high tech western medicine model. I think one of them is that smearing honey on a wound should be the standard of practice.
