The PPA stuff is not dragging on.

The issue is that some on this board (and elsewhere) had an overly aggressive sense of what the timeline would be, and raised expectations of themselves and others. Some actually thought that a decision would be issued on the first day of hearings.

Six days of hearings for a contract that lasts 20 years and is over a billion dollars in value is not the least bit unreasonable by utility standards. The hearings are now complete (with closing briefs due soon), and we can expect a resolution later this month, maybe early next month.

In the meantime, take the $3.50 you saved on electricity and buy yourself a beer (a cheap beer, but whatever).

As some might say, "enhance your calm"

The issues that you are bringing up have been discussed ad nauseum over the past few years. Laidlaw's opponents would bring issues up on this board under the guise of being real concerns that would/could be the demise of Laidlaw. Every concern, wood chips, frozen wood chips, choo choos with square wheels (inside joke for those that have been here for years), trucks, pollution and even .... ready for this ... epileptic seizures caused by the noise that may emanate from the plant when it's up and running. All have been soundly refuted!

Anyone want to add to my short list of the bull that some of the locals ( shhhhh ) have been tossing about over the past couple of years?
