The deceiving thing about those numbers is that you never really know if they are really sells or buys. Obviously every trade involves both a buyer and a seller, but for instance, I got all of my shares last week @ bid - .07. So all of those shares looked liked someone was selling when the bid was .07 when they were all buys.

I think it is often easier to just look at percentages of trades at bid, ask and in between.
