Dubb, I do appreciate your measured response. And I do agree that both good intentions are generally there, and I would also agree that they probably hire some good people in the ranks.
However...
How's their track record been lately (over the past 10 years)?
How many drugs and medical technologies have they passed through that have proven successful versus those they've passed through that aren't successful? Is that ratio improving or declining?
Has the process and timelines for reviewing and decision making improved or downgraded over the past 20 years?
Efficiencies and Effectiveness (together) has to be looked at in the FDA and we are falling behind as a nation.
You're absolutely right that they're purpose is not to make investors money. But what is realized...is it serving the people of this nation as well as it used to? Or is it getting worse?
Purpose doesn't mean a damn if you don't execute well.
