I do - Pieces to a Puzzle

It's called business fundamentals - block and tackle.

Work work work

To succeed in business (imo) one has to put in the work and be dedicated and determined.

Overcome obstacles and move past 'no's' and focus on the 'yes's' while seeing if 'no's' are changing to 'maybe's' and if 'maybe's' are changing to 'yes's'

Gotta continue to move the ball forward - increasing its size to where it becomes self-sufficient.........

Other related (tidbits/signs of act like a business, talk like a business, work like a business, must be a business.....whether it gets to the goal...open for debate) that continue to build upon 'itself' through activation/engagement.

Each may be just little pieces and somewhat meaningless to many occasional viewers, but to the 'fitter' they start to form a picture

Oct 22 Winning Colours: Reality Check

At Winning Brands, we know the difference between dreaming and planning. That’s why we place a lot of importance on doing practical things, measuring the results, making adjustments, carrying on. It’s this type of steady perseverance that is going to deliver the goods in the Winning Colours success story.

One such ”practical” example is the need to determine whether our investment in merchandising tools is being well spent...continue at above blog link to see display and brochure inquiries

Dec 2 Fred Lee, Early Success

Fred Lee returned to headquarters today, following a day in the field with Lorne Kelly visiting Canadian Tire stores on the display rack presentation/installation mission. Shown here below, they are conferring as to their findings on the early installed test locations. They are interested to presenting accurate findings to prospective installation sites. They have received strong interest amongst the next group of prospective sites. They also found today that the CTC test location which received its unit on August 19th is now at 223 bottles, of which 24 were the year-to-date figure Jan1 – Aug 18. This confirms that the positive impact for participating retailer test sites is being sustained during the test period, in other words – 199 bottles since installation.

The CTC (or any national account) isn't the rack size a Duane Reade would have if they go that route imo, they would most likely have something like this that resulted from the Hasty Market initiative (with potential assistance from Karry? distributor we picked up through Hasty?)

Nov 17 Replenishment Orders are the Best!

Received a call from the VP of Hasty Market today to discuss their first system-wide replenishment order. He expressed a strong like for Winning Colours Stain Remover now as well, through personal experiences, and would like to introduce the large size (909 mL) to round out the offering to their shoppers. Determination of an appropriate quantity and suitable display is what’s next. The goal (mutually) is for Winning Colours to stand out a bit, and not be “lost” in the other merchandising. This store really wants their customers to discover what they can do for them when it comes to stains and clean-up. Very classy.

Jan 19 Mini Display for Maximum Market Penetration

An increasing number of retailers are recognizing the impact of our displays in their product turns. To maximize market penetration for our display fixtures, a brand new unit has been prototyped for deployment into all stores, regardless of store size, that will accept delivery of same. The unit accommodates the three primary sizes of Winning Colours Stain Remover (4 oz, 30 oz and 135 oz), holds brochures, is easily moved, easily assembled, easily shipped, and robust to withstand everyday “handling

[all this basically happened in 4th quarter for which sales will be greatly larger then 3rd quarter even though store counts per store locator only went up a net 40 stores - now start adding 'new stores' in Q1 2011 or Walmart Canada re-ordering/restocking (not only half but hopefully all stores) and potential Lancaster Dealer show this Friday 11th, or USA National (HD,Lowes,Menards) coming on board....ahmmmmm). It may not happen (tomorrow, next week, this month or next)..but I see the direction I believe it's heading...and something 'good' looks likely to happen eventually - only takes 'one piece' for others to become aware or see something more clearly (for them). Some say 'awareness' or 'PRs' and they likely will be the final 'big' pieces that seals WNBD fate (are they lost..or sitting right there in reach?)
