Thanks - can the law stand on it's own without including the mandate to buy? Of course that would do nothing to lower the cost of healthcare, which was the original intent...Those opposed to this law enjoy paying for others healthcare while continuing to whine about the high cost of health care.

Short story...last week I visited a male patient (400lb, 42yr old) in my local hospital who was listed as "self-pay" (no insurance) and we talked about the new healthcare law, which he promptly said he was against. His girlfriend came into the room and complained that the hospital would not allow her to put HER hospital meals on this patient's bill...the very bill that he probably will not pay, but you/me/everyone who carries insurance will pay. When I asked this guy why he was against the healthcare law, he said he doesn't know anything about it but a guy he works with said it's no good.
That's just a sampling of what this country is up against...people who have no clue what the healthcare law is about but are against it, and/or people who know they will have to chip in for their healthcare are against it.

Interesting exchange tonight between Rep Weiner (D-NY) and the Wash Post's Ezra Klein regarding today's court decision...Weiner said it could result in Medicare being expanded, something the Repubs would choke over!
