Don't you think what they do is more important.

True, they may have been able to move a little more quickly, but then again, they may initiate a trial tomorrow, and may be setting things up as we speak.

But if you're looking for major corporations to be primarily motivated by doing the "right thing", well...

Perhaps dough would care to comment on this as well but my take is that Merck rarely PR's the start of new trials but I am hoping that rida will be mentioned in Merck's Feb 3rd CC. fwiw, I think one of the things holding back the pps is the uncertainty associated with the timing of Mercks filing of the rida NDA and their commitment to starting new p3 trials. Once that's cleared up, we should see additional upside.

biotech researcher and donshimoda i hear both of ya and i wish mrk would comment but they just do not!!!!

we just have to keep an eye on www.clinicaltrials.gov for new trials.

mrk very rarely announces that they are starting a trial in anything and also they usally dont release results of the trial til a major medical meeting like a ASCO.

Don like you i am hopeful we may hear few tidbits on feb 3 mrk earnings call. mrk usally dont comment much on the pipeline on these but usally does talk a little what they are going to file or whats going to get approved this year.

with the recent big disappointment of mrk blood clotting drug, you would think mrk would be happy to have rida and say something of the good results and this is our filing plans.

so i am hopeful we may hear something feb 3 but will not be holding my breath. but with that said i am bullish as i have always been and still think at this level aria offers the best risk/reward of any biotech stock out there over the next 1-2 years.
