I use TD Ameritrade also, but the bid and ask shown for the pinksheet of a Canadian stock seldom matches the conversion price of the actual bid and ask of the stock in Canada. Often the range of bid-ask of the pinksheet is larger than the actual range, but at other times it's just low or high, and sometimes there is no quote at all. Getting the real-time Canadian price and applying the real-time conversion rate is the only way to know what you should be paying.
