No K I D D I N G. I have 2-3" of ice under 8" of snow on my roof. My gutters are a block of ice. The morning greets me with long icicles hanging over my front door and an ice rink when I step outside. Yesterday, I spent more than I should on 50 lbs. of salt at the A&P. That's in the garage. This morning, I hauled 40 lbs. of water softener salt up from the basement. That's sitting by the front door. I'm as prepared as I can possibly be.
Sun is lovely today. I shoveled as much snow off the lower roof as I could reach from the ground this a.m. Hope that will help Mother Nature melt some of the ice on the edge of the roof.
Hmmm. Ice storm on Wednesday. No shadow for the ground hog. Maybe that will be the end of it.
