#1346 RE: oilman57 #1345

Oilman57....Much of the 3D in the JDZ is shot (in fact, laced with 3D). This is a pretty good link showing the 3D (opens slowly but is well worth the gander IMHO)

I do find it odd that PXD's CEO made his statement about drilling in "deep water off Nigeria" back in mid-February stating it would be PR'ed after governmental approval. These blocks they are currently drilling have yet to be PR'ed!!!! I just like knowing this region was new to PXD and were brought in by our very own Sir Emeka Offor. There might be zero correlation between ERHC and what CEO Sheffield discussed, but because

1) It appears we will be partners in the JDZ
2) PXD had no known existance in Nigerian deep water pre-Offor
3) Blocks remain non-PR'ed....non-Gov't approved as are JDZ
4) Structures sound similar to what we expect in JDZ
5) Drilling ahead of Gov't approval sounds Offorish

I will keep my ears finetuned to this development. One must question how and why PXD would commence drilling (costs for one well in the deep waters in this region are $30 to $35 million) prior to receiving Gov't approval. That seems almost unheard of in this expensive ballgame.

All that said Oilman....whether its the JDZ or not (and you may be 100% correct that it's not) it's well worth an eagle eye. Thanks for your thoughts. As you point out, the seismic indicating 14.4 RECOVERABLE barrels of oil</B> only incuded the 17 high prospect structures. We could learn that this turns out to be a very conservative estimate. It's all good!!!
