#1739 RE: palmspringsbum #1736

I never said I have been following this company since the beginning. This company goes back to before I ever got into trading microcaps.

Thanks for pointing out the lease. I didn't notice that. I know you posted the Yahoo Finance thing before but I believe I asked at the time if it was current data or not. A few weeks ago on another board I asked about some people connected to another company I invest in (KA*X) and was told these people have been gone for years. They were listed on Reuters as current employees and I thought this was new data. If anyone doubts what I am saying you can go back through my posts on the KA*X board and see the egg I got on my face when I brought these names up.

Honestly I never saw/noticed the name before Eagle1969 brought it up. And the way this was brought up was kind of like pulling the alarm bell and running away.

So everything is out in the open, I will post the link to what that poster brought up. The link is at the bottom of this message.

The questions are 1) same Troy Metz? likely but we don't know for sure. 2) is there a current relationship and if so what is it? The people I lease my apartment from are jerks too. If the only connection is a lease at this point I am not terrified by that. 3)
do we know for a FACT, not ASSUMPTION based on a Yahoo Finance profile that could be out of date, that he is a current officer of this company? 4)how alarmed should we be about this? If its the same Troy Metz it is looking like the guy is banned from penny stock land per the below unless I am reading this wrong. In which case wouldn't that mean he couldn't be involved anymore? This article appears to be from June 2010. The case apparently goes back to 2006/7. Is it possible part of the switch from General Bio to CPOW was to distance themselves from the past relationship to Metz? I am not sure. In the past I have worked in organizations, good organizations doing good things, that had a few rotten apples. You throw the rotten apples away and you keep going.

I will entertain all input on this subject. I am not going to just sell my shares and run right now because someone drops a name.

Here's the link.

The City of Prince Albert is keeping Troy Metz on contract to conduct a feasibility study on a proposed 'green energy' park in the northern Saskatchewan city, despite the Regina businessman being charged for securities fraud in the U.S.
In May, the City of Prince Albert announced that Metz's company, Canadian Bio Energy Management Inc., had been awarded the $100,000 contract to study the "viability of green energy industries in Prince Albert and region."
Metz and former Regina businessman Dallas L. Robinson were charged last month with securities fraud by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for disseminating "false and misleading press releases.''
Robert Cotterill, city manager, said Metz has been working on the green energy park feasibility study since May and the city has been satisfied with the work done so far.
"A civil suit has been launched against Mr. Metz,'' Cotterill said, referring to the civil fraud action launched by the SEC in a Florida district court June 25.
"We have to let the courts decide whether there's any guilt or not ... So it would be premature for us to cancel the contract with him when we have no reason to.''
Cotterill added that the court would not likely come to any decision before the completion of the feasibility study, which is expected to be in August. At that time, the city will decide whether to continue its relationship with Metz.
"So far, the work that he's done has been excellent and we'll continue to monitor to make sure we're getting the product we need to get.''
Cotterill said the contract could see Metz continue in the third phase of the project, which involves seeking investors for the green energy park.
"When we get to phase three, I have to make a decision whether to continue to utilize his services or not. And I'll make that decision once phase two is finished.''
He said he only became aware of the SEC charges last Friday and informed city councillors at a special meeting of council on Monday.
A spokesman for Enterprise Saskatchewan, which administers the provincial community development trust fund that would be the source of the $100,000 grant, said the money has not been disbursed.
"It has to be approved. The money has not gone out,'' said Tim Tororey of Enterprise Saskatchewan.
"As it long as it meets the eligibility criteria, the project will be approved,'' he added. "As to the consultant, that's the city's job.''
Metz was unavailable for an interview Monday.
