On the radio they were talking about one of the teams winning because of their hot 3 point shooting. They said in practice, teams don't even practice free throws anymore. They finish their workouts with 3 point shooting. This wasn't my point, it was the statements of supposed experts.
If not mistaken, the year Phi Slamma Jamma lost was the first year of the 3 point shot or at least the first year it was used effectively? If I recall correctly, it had a great deal to do with why Houston lost to NC State.
