Almost looks like a forced liquidation, either from an enforced margin call, or someone in a daytrading flagged account was about to drop below $25k equity and needed to keep from going under and getting margin called. Seen it happen a few times in stocks... you see that quick market sale drop off then it rebounds to near even after that.
