Active simply meens the company are in good standing with the SOS of that state, wheras Default means they are delinquent.

Re-Instated, typically means they are on back in good standing after being revoked (prevously not in good standing). The Reinstatements are typically viewed as very positive as the company is taking the steps in the right direction but it can also mean something big is in the works like a R/M
