As far as cocaine - that actually was used as an elixer (spelling?) for many many things - including a "housewife's helper" - honest to goodness - I did some research on it. Was also used in "snake oils" for depression and other things.
Herbs - I might be wrong but I thought aspirin was made from willow bark, but I can't remember now...something is! HAHAHA
