I hope you are also right.
Unfortunately I had JALFQ and these shares were canceled.
But now I checked SEC page and I can not find any mention about cancel of shares JP3705400004.

In your article is interesting sentence:
"ETIC's support for JAL will last only three years (until Jan-2013) in which time it must find new shareholders and pay back the funds ..."
but no mention about old shareholders of JALFQ.
This aproach of JAL is realy sad...
