I couldn't find that but it did give States certain rights so I need to check Arizona law...

Section Four gives to state legislatures the power to set the "times, Places and Manner of holding elections for Senators and Representatives," but also giving to Congress the power to "at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators," a power which Congress has exercised in some cases, notably by setting a uniform date for federal elections, while leaving other aspects of election administration to the states.

Glad you can stay home..I hope the accumulation is minimal.

I came up blank with anything in the Arizona Law that would allow the Governor to appoint a replacement. My best guess is...since not haning only one Congressman will not come close to preventing them from having a quorum...they will let it play out and determine if she can function...if determined she can't fulfill the duties...a special election will be held to fill the spot...I will check again later though..:-)

Off to run now...Hmm the wind is kicking up pretty good now...should be fun...<g>
