Except that CDS will own all the assets and my guess is they would put it into BK, then take it private. I don't see it as being good for shareholders.
What other products? Coke and Pepsi's? If so, they weren't not advertising because they didn't have the money. They probably realized the products were high risk and (wisely) decided not to invest too much money into promoting them.
