Jdaasoc, It appears that you do not recognize nor believe that the boomers generation disportionate numbers leave our economy with some real challenges ahead. As far as immigration, John is speaking of selective immigration so our country's future fragile social services are not burdened by even more folks looking for entitlements. Current immigration stats show that immigrants coming to this country are increasingly poorer and less educated. Also, current immigration stats show that immigrants age groups nearly copy our current age breakdowns adding to our problem as these folks have not had a life time to contribute to the social security system.
