What part of a recycling facility breaking even, means free feedstock, was not clear. Breaking even would mean paying the lease, paying employees, that would mean that the feedstock would be free. Not having to pay the landfill fees, $90-$92.50 in the Niagara Region, which is what other recycling facilities have to pay for the unwanted plastic that JBI can use, increases the chances of not only breaking even, but of turning a profit with the facility.
