Nobody said anything about the company "pumping" anything. I own stock in a company that flat out tells shareholders in advance that they are going to issue shares to continue in completing their business plans. They obviously aren't "pumping' the stock either, but they are issuing and selling shares. One of the most common ways pennies and pinkies raise money and pay debts is to issue shares to vendors or creditors or to issue them to the O/S and sell them as free trading shares in the open market.
