How stupid are people that use only 1 alarm when they "have" to get somewhere?
I sleep with 2 battery alarm clocks, an plugged in HD radio clock radio and my phone alarm (with the phone plugged in and charging) all set to wake me up. Even with a power failure, the 2 battery alarm clocks, and the phone, however charged the battery is, would all still go off and wake me up.
Nobody should have any pity for anyone not smart enough to have multiple backups and contingencies planned.
