And if Briscoe goes to China and nothing is said...

...There are some who would whine about how they should have told us little shareholders so we could buy before the news. But they did tell us, and some here act like the magic wand has been waved and we still haven't been whisked away to the ball...

I for one hope we are getting a good deal instead of a fast one. In truth the China angle probably started in late 2009, when a Chinese bilingual VP with extensive background in law and international business was hired. Even if he went straight to China, secured a tentative deal immediately, then proceeded to hammer out details between LBSR and a company large enough to secure such a deal, it could easily take over a year to have something ready to announce.

And it IS a little over a year since Mr. Liang was hired, and I wouldn't be a bit surprised if such a deal were en route now. If it is, those brave souls who bought in the single digits may look pretty wise in the future, but nobody knows. The Chinese do business quite differently than the West, and Briscoe hopping off the plane and waving a banner saying "Buy now, big news coming!' would likely put them off. Briscoe's job is to find deep pockets to fund the development and build the PPS. Any suitor has the job of acquiring or accessing the claims in a manner that is profitable for their own organization, meaning a sudden price spike may work against them. Briscoe knows this, and should such a deal be pending, he is likely bound by certain clauses that let everyone get their ducks in a row before a big announcement.

And I truly hope Briscoe has the last laugh, because he has been maligned extensively by those who stand to benefit from his years of study and work. Now that we can all see the aerial view and location of the claims, I'm sure some plucky and impatient shareholder could fly straight to Alaska, find a waterway downstream from the claims, and start wading in ice cold streams looking for nuggets. To heck with Briscoe, get out there and forget about the blackflies and bears. ZTEM says there is lots of gold there, so why be patient? Carpe Diem and a side order of bootstraps.

Get right on that partner!
