On the clear understanding that I was not one who was there and do not offer what I heard, what I think you heard, or what I think others heard, I offer the following perspective:

Do you have reason to believe that you are the only one who was there and heard anything pertinent?

Unless you have reason to believe that, it seems absurd to me for you to assume that you are the party to whom the other party is referring.

I know, totally weird and abstract, but unless there is some on record remark from JB making a clear statement concerning this matter, the term "beating a dead horse" is the only one that comes to mind ...............
