Train Guy,

It is easy to get into trading e-minis. Perhaps too easy. Lots of beginners are undercapitalized and underexperienced and crash and burn quickly.

There are lots of brokers that trade futures. I use Interactive Brokers.

Two points a day sounds easy, huh? Heck, the futures can move 2 points in 10 seconds - but it requires a lot of experience, a well defined edge, and emotional control.

On the other hand, with a decent business plan it is possible to make 2 points a day consistently.

Starting small with SPY and/or QQQ is prudent. Any sort of stock trading is also good experience.

You yourself mentioned what was special about 909: It is the overnight GLOBEX high (well close, it was 908.75). These globex highs and lows tend to be magnet numbers, as well as the daily high and low, yesterday's high and low, and key daily pivots, gaps, etc.

The daily high was 910.50, and there was a key pivot on 11/8 at 910.75. At the same time the Nasdaq futures were testing yesterday's high.

>>>And did you see where they ran the futures up and just touched 911.00.<<<

911.6 was the August high.
