Northern Dynasty Minerals Ltd. (Northern Dynasty) is a Canada-based company engaged in the exploration of mineral properties. The Company owns a 50% interest in the Pebble Limited Partnership (the Pebble Partnership). The Pebble Partnership owns the Pebble Copper-Gold-Molybdenum Project (the Pebble Project), the Company’s principal mineral property interest located in Alaska, United States of America. The Company’s wholly owned subsidiaries include 3537137 Canada Inc., 0796412 BC Ltd. and Northern Dynasty Partnership. As of December 31, 2009, the Company was in the process of exploring its mineral property interests and had not yet determined whether the Pebble Project contains mineral reserves that are economically recoverable.
