Let's be fair. In the conference call, he was asked by a caller "There is a rumor that you post insider information on Facebook. Is that true?". His answer was "No".
Insider information is defined by the SEC as "material nonpublic information". Clearly, he has not given any of that on Facebook. He has stated, for example, that he was going to be on Money TV. This is NOT material, nonpublic information.
Many CEO's of public companies have Facebook pages and they do discuss their companies on their pages. Look up any of the big companies and you will find them.
Dean used to post on this board, which would be considered in the same realm as Facebook. He stopped, understandably, because of how ridiculous the commentary became and, for that matter, still is.
