I don't disagree with what you are saying. But I am just as baffled by the lack of buying as I am the intense shorting.

The elevated short interest explains why the price is where it is. It just doesn't provide any explanation for why the shorts are so easily able to stunt the price due to an absence of buying. Where are the goddamn buyers of this remarkable growth story. Are they being scared off by the short interest?

By best read on what is happening is the fund managers that bet against CCME are doing the absolute minimum they have to to keep CCME trading around these levels until the end of the year.

With the volume being so low the shorts are no longer trying to pound CCME down 4-5% a day like they have before. But on the other hand they don't want us going up either. So IMO they really don't want to short anymore shares and will only short to keep us around these levels until the end of the year, so they can earn whatever bonus they are getting.

Next year is a different story and that is where they will take their loss. No reason to have a really bad trade screw up 2 years if you can push it all into 1 year. Then they have the whole year to try to make up for it.

Next week should be a good week for CCME if I am right, we shall see.
