Thanks. Thanks, Everyone. As for MooMoo, well, let's just see if he comes back and says anything. His (her ??) posts were usually just very short and simple taunts, pretty sophomoric stuff, and not worth responding to. Eventually, we all knew that something like this would come out and pretty much totally put what he/she was peddling to the lie. Almost no point in bothering to respond. Chewy is a more evolved version of Mo, as his (Chewy's) post of tonight shows. This is typical detractor behavior. They will always try to find something to pick at, in order to spread FUD. I saw this in spades in the war over the spin the detractors of Dendreon's Provenge tried to pull just prior to the release of the full data from the IMPACT trial. Specifically, a writer for Forbes, one Matt Herper, thought that it would be fair game to try to discredit the data that was about to come out by promoting some very specious arguments about the quality of the data being compromised for various reasons, and using a particular statistician, Dr. Thomas Fleming, who was part of the original conspiracy of leaked memos from the FDA in 2007 that was instrumental in keeping Provenge from receiving an early approval. You can find Herper's article here:
I write all this to merely illustrate just how far the short side can go to try to make sure they get their way, no matter who they have to run over to get it. In the case of Provenge, it meant keeping a treatment off the market that tens of thousands of dying older men could have benefited from. Compared to that, we are small fry - we're just talking about a mining company here, not a huge advancement in the treatment of cancer. Believe me when I say that it is hard to imagine the myriad number of tricks that the short side can pull. They aren't constrained by moral, ethical or even legal hurdles. Dealing with the shorts is probably the closest any of us will ever get to a direct head-to-head confrontation with Satan. I'm convinced that they are his minions, at least.
On that pleasant thought, I'll bid you all good night.
